
A Salt Space staff person will be on hand to facilitate setup, entry access, cleanup and other housekeeping and to oversee that the space is restored to proper setup. Additionally, renter shall surrender the space in the same condition as when it took possession. Extra cleaning as determined by the The Salt Space director will result in an additional cleaning fee. Any damage to The Salt Space’s facility or property as determined by The Salt Space director shall be billed to the renter.
With respect for The Salt Space’s co-tenants and neighbors the Licensee will abide by all laws, city, state and federal. Licensee shall not use the premises for any unlawful purpose or in anyway which will constitute a nuisance or interfere with The Salt Space or The Gallery Church staffs’ use of the premises. Physical modifications to The Salt Space are not permitted. Specific requests can be addressed. Roof access is not permitted.
The Salt Space does not keep regulated office hours. Any deliveries, meetings, or site visits must be arranged with The Salt Space director at least 7 days in advance.
All property brought into The Salt Space by Licensee or by contractors hired by Licensee must be removed immediately from The Salt Space at the end of the Licensee’s agreement. The Salt Space will not store artwork or extra materials belonging to the Licensee at any time.
Installation and set-up must be done only the date agreed upon for your event as written in your Agreement. Licensee cannot paint the walls of the The Salt Space. Floor-mounted installations are not permitted, without written consent from The Salt Space director. The Salt Space director will provide hanging instructions for two-dimensional work and a brief consultation at the start of each installation/set-up if necessary. The Licensee should provides all installation tools need for their event. Requests for a ladder or scaffolding to be present during installation/set-up should be made at least 2 weeks prior to event date. The Licensee will provide all shelving or exhibition devices for approved small-scale or wall-mounted three dimensional work, with accompanying installation hardware approved by The Salt Space.
Licensee must keep the The Salt Space entrances and walkways, as well as all building common areas as neat and free of debris as possible during the installation. For long-term installations the Licensee can install only previously approved artwork and materials. The Salt Space reserves the right to refuse any work not previously agreed upon by the Licensee and The Salt Space. Due to the nature of The Salt Space as a multi-use facility space, it is imperative that the Licensee gives careful thought to the mounting and security of all pieces in a long-term exhibition. The Licensee must remove all artwork, hardware, exhibition devices, and signage after an event or exhibition. The Salt Space staff will spackle and re-paint the space.
The Salt Space can provide full A/V services for an event. Any Audio/Visual needs must be negotiated prior to signing of Agreement. A Salt Space certified technician or approved technician must be hired to run the Audio/Visual systems. Specific requests can be accommodated in advance of event date to ensure additional equipment reservations.
The use of additional electronic equipment whether for a long-term exhibition or for a short term event should be approved for compatibility by The Salt Director prior to your event. The Salt Space is not responsible for loss and/or damage to any electronic devices that are the personal or leased property of the Licensee. If electronic equipment is approved for a long-term gallery installation, the Licensee will provide a typed instruction sheet by the opening date of the exhibition. The Salt Space will operate electrical equipment only during agreed upon open exhibit hours.
If the Licensee wishes to use the stage lighting in The Salt Space and/or install specialty lighting plans must be made in advance with The Salt Space director.
All private contractors hired by Licensee to provide food services to The Salt Space should be approved by the Director of The Salt Space. Alcoholic beverages of any kind cannot be sold on the premises of The Salt Space. Wine or beer may only be served with written consent from The Salt Space director. Liquor drinks may not be served on The Salt Space premises.
The Salt Space can provide 120 folding chairs. The Salt Space is also equipped with some tables, please contact The Salt Space director in advance of any event to determine if the items we have meet your needs or if you need to rent additional items.
The Salt Space can list any events on its website at the request of the Licensee.The Licensee can produce printed pieces and mailings at their own expense. If so, the Salt Space can provide proper copy and logos to indicate the event location. Any intended publicity with mention of The Salt Space and/or The Gallery Church must be approved by The Salt Space and/or The Gallery Church prior to distribution.
